(Bogradio 007): “I sidste ende er det umuligt ikke at blive, hvad andre anser dig for at være”. Således taler Julius Cæsar i en af Gabriel García Márquez’s romaner. Dette tankevækkende citat indleder Peter Horns nye bog om personlig branding (Interview also in English).
Horn har i flere år været førende indenfor debat om og undervisning i aspekterne ved at brande sin person. Som han siger: “Vi lever i en verden, hvor vores færdigheder mere og mere ligner hinandens, så vores personlighed er det, der udgør forskellen.”
Igen ret tankevækkende, hvis man ellers ønsker at gøre karriere. Horns bog (på engelsk) er et redskab for ledere, som gerne vil have en international karriere, og som gerne vil have nogle patroner i revolveren.
Da hans første bog om “Personlig Branding” udkom på dansk for nogle år siden afstedkom den en voldsom debat om Me Inc. og flere kaldte hans principper for urimelig og upassende selvpromovering. Den debat er i dag overstået – især for dem, der vil fremad i store internationale virksomheder.

(Bookradio 007A): “In the end, it is impossible not to become what others believe you are.” Those are the words of Julius Caesar in one of Gabriel Garcia Márquez’s books. This thought-provoking qoute begins Peter Horn’s new book about personal branding.
Mr. Horn has for several years been in the lead regarding debate about and teaching the aspects of how to brand ones personality. As he states: We live in a world where our abilities are so increasingly similar that our personality is what make us stand out from the crowd.” Again quite thought-provoking if one wish to achieve unique career aspirations. Mr. Horn’s book is a tool for leaders that wish for an international career and who want to give it more than one shot.
